Deep woods


Sundown over a steep slope into deep woods at Macaulay Mountain Conservation Area. Part of Quinte Conservation, this park is a wild oasis at the edge of our busy tourist town, Picton, Ontario in Prince Edward County.

Snowy sundown


Beaver Meadows Conservation Area near Bloomfield, Ontario is a waterfowl marshland sanctuary surrounded by a rich, mixed hardwood forest including maple, beech, oak, hickory, birch, hemlock and white pine. This forest community is rare and endangered in Prince Edward County in contrast to the ubiquitous thin soil scrub land of cedar and prickly ash.
